...from Wien-Westbahnhof
Take the subway line U3 (direction "Simmering") to Volkstheater. There, take the U2 to Karlsplatz. Use the exit "Wiedner Hauptstraße" to get directly to the "Freihaus" building.
...from Wien-Südbahnhof (Ostbahn)
Take the subway line U1 (direction "Leopoldau") to Karlsplatz. Use the exit "Wiedner Hauptstrasse" to get directly to the "Freihaus" building.
...from Wien-Meidling
Take the subway line U6 (direction "Floridsdorf") to Längenfeldgasse. Change to the subway line U4 (direction "Heiligenstadt") to Karlsplatz. Use the exit "Wiedner Hauptstrasse" to get directly to the "Freihaus" building.

By plane
Arriving at the Vienna International Airport (Wien Schwechat), there are three possibilities to get to the Vienna University of Technology.
- Take the train S7 (direction "Floridsdorf") or the City Airport Train (CAT) to Wien Mitte (note that you need to buy and validate your ticket before boarding the train). From there, take the subway line U4 (direction Hütteldorf) to Karlsplatz. Use the exit "Wiedner Hauptstrasse" to get directly to the "Freihaus" building.
- Take the shuttle bus to Wien-Südbahnhof and from there the subway line U1 (direction Leopoldau) to Karlsplatz. Use the exit "Wiedner Hauptstrasse" to get directly to the "Freihaus" building.
- Take the shuttle bus to Schwedenplatz and from there the subway line U4 (direction Hütteldorf) or the line U1 (direction Reumannplatz) to Karlsplatz. Use the exit "Wiedner Hauptstrasse" to get directly to the "Freihaus" building.

By car
from the west
Coming from the A1 highway, follow the city center signs (Zentrum). After passing the Vienna Zoo (Tiergarten Schönbrunn) and Schönbrunn Palace, follow this road (Rechte Wienzeile) to get to the 4th district of Vienna. As soon as you see the "Vienna Secession" on the left hand side, turn into the Operngasse, which is the back side of the TU building where the entrance of the parking garage can be found.
from the south
Coming from the A2 highway, you have several possibilities to reach the Vienna University of Technology. The best is to follow the signs towards Altmannsdorf and Schönbrunn Castle and then follow the signs toward the City Center (Zentrum) as described in "from the west" above.
By public transport
Just in front of our building (the "Freihaus") stop several lines. Among these are the subway lines U1, U2, and U4. Similarly close by run the buses 4A, 59A, the tram lines 1, 62 and (in walking distance) D, as well as the Lokalbahn nach Baden (a.k.a. "Badner Bahn")
